Korean Martial Arts Centre

For over 50 years, Korean Martial Arts Centre (KMAC) has been the premier provider of traditional Korean martial arts training in Northern Ontario, Canada. It is home to over 500 Hapkido practitioners across authorized branded locations in Barrie, Sudbury, Valley East, Dowling, Coniston, Spanish, Elliot Lake, Echo Bay, Sault Ste. Marie East, and Sault Ste. Marie West.


Annual open tournament held in April in Sault Ste Marie, ON. Hosted by Chief Master John Gencarelli for 25 years. Those who place get a chance to attend WKC Nationals.

Northern Ontario Martial Arts Championship (NOMAC)

Annual open tournament held in Elliot Lake, ON. Hosted by Chief Master Ivan Bergeron. Last tournament in 2018 attracted 165 competitors. Next tournament will be held on March 23, 2019.

KMAC Elliot Lake

KMAC Elliot Lake was the first Hapkido club established in Canada. It was opened by Chief Master Ivan Bergeron and Master Inn Shuk Pak in 1967. Its dojang still operates to this day.

Sudbury Kmac

Established in 1977 by Chief Master Gerry Fortin. Master Chris Fortin leads instruction.

Valley kmac

Sir Alex St.-Amant leads instruction at KMAC Dojang in Valley East region.

KMAC Sault Ste Marie EAST

Chief Master John Gencarelli operates dojang in Sault Ste Marie and is host of WKC Regional Qualifier. His annual tournament has been operating for over 25 years.
